Winter doesn't have to be boring. It can be just as fun-filled as any other season. Check out these great family activities that are sure to get your brain or body working!

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

  Snowshoeing
  Cross Country Skiing
  Sledding or Tobogganing
  Sleigh Ride - horse drawn or daddy-drawn!
  Down Hill Skiing
  Snowboarding
  Build a snowman.
  Take the dog for a romp in the snow.
  Make snow angels.
  Have a snow ball fight.
  Ice Skating
  Ice Fishing
  Build a snow castle, fort, or maze.
  Snowmobiling
  Winter Bird Watching
  If you live in a city, go window shopping downtown at night or take a horse drawn carriage ride.


INDOOR ACTIVITIES

  Make a bird feeder.
  Make a wildlife feeder for deer, squirrels, etc.
  Go to a museum.
  Go to a play or musical.
  Put on a play or puppet show.
  Have a dance party.
  Bake and decorate cookies.
  Make snow ice cream.
  Finish a puzzle.
  Play a board game.
  Try new recipes.
  Have a movie night marathon!
  Make a fire and hot cocoa.
  Read a book! (Try Robinson Crusoe, Al Capone Does My Shirts, or the entire Narnia or Harry Potter series.)

  Go see a movie at the theater - regular or 3D.
