Battered and crispy, just the way you like them!

Image INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 pounds russet potatoes
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon salt
dash of cayenne pepper (optional)
1/2 cup water
vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS
1) Peel the potatoes and, using a mandolin, cut into french fries.

2) Pour oil into a deep fryer and heat according to your fryer's directions for french fries.

3) In a mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic salt, onion salt, salt, cayenne pepper, and water.

4) Dip the fries in the batter, then drop in hot oil one at a time, taking care that they do not clump together. Fry until they float on the top, or are golden brown.

5) Transfer with a slotted spoon to a plate lined with paper towels. Let cool, and enjoy!
