The Most Family-Friendly Movie Theaters Print E-mail

My pick for this month is the National Amusements movie theater chain, providing families with amazing programs like these:

Image If you have toddlers or preschoolers, check out Kidtoons! Kidtoons are G-rated films shown one weekend a month at noon. All tickets are $3.50. February featured Bob The Builder, and March features Barbie Presents Thumbelina. Certain locations also follow each film with StoryTime, where kids can listen to stories, participate in creative activities, and get a coupon for a FREE slice of pizza! This month's stories are Princess Me and Tea For Ruby. Click here for participating locations, upcoming films and stories, and more info: Kidtoons.

Image If your kids are movie-lovers, why not sign them up for The Popcorn Club? The cost is just $10, and each new member receives their very own membership card preloaded with a FREE movie ticket and a FREE Kid's Concession Combo (small popcorn, small soft drink). They also receive an exclusive Popcorn Club backpack, another FREE movie ticket on their birthday, special offers, invitations to exclusive family events, advanced screenings, and more. Think about using membership as a reward for good grades! To register online, click here: Popcorn Club Registration.

Image It's hard for new parents to catch the latest films at the theater. Finding a babysitter can be tough, and sometimes it's hard to be away from your precious bundle anyway. That's why Baby Pictures is another brilliant idea from National Amusements. Now parents have the option to watch the latest movies in a baby-friendly setting at a discount price!

Once a month at participating locations, a Baby Pictures theater will feature dim lighting to allow for easy child care in the auditorium, lowered volume for babies' sensitive hearing, baby changing stations, an area for strollers, and a food cart offering breakfast goodies and concessions. If that's not family-friendly, I don't know what is!

National Amusement theaters like Cinema de Lux, The Bridge, Showcase Cinemas, Multiplex Cinemas, and IMAX are located in select states and abroad. Check here to find a location near you: Locations.
