The following is a Micro Movie Review: short and to the point, only what parents need to know.
In a dystopian world, where humans are extinct and beastly machines rule the earth, nine sock-puppet-like creations, called stitchpunks, must find a way to survive.
9 is not a kid's flick. The dystopian world is dark, depressing, and frightening, but as always, Burton focuses heavily on beautiful, rich animation. Don't expect an amazing script or deep plot. It may be thought-provoking, but it isn't a story you haven't heard of before.
There is no sex, drugs, or bad language in 9, but the frightening images abound and may cause nightmares for young kids. Best for older teens.
OVERALL
If you have teenagers and you like Tim Burton, take your kids out and enjoy yourselves!
